QLD56 | GP | Central Highlands, QLD

Reference: QLD56

Location: Central Highlands

Length of position: 2 years

Consultant email: [email protected]

Our client operates several clinics in the Central Highlands region, north of Brisbane.  They are looking for UK, Irish or New Zealand trained GPs for their clinics. These jobs are in a beautiful part of Queensland. Although rural, it is a big town of around 20,000 people with all facilities. The coast is about 3hrs away and there are regular short flights to Brisbane

On offer:

  • Excellent earnings – initially via a salary and then, once you’ve gained experience, a fee per service option
  • Mixed billing clinic.  Mostly private billing (up to 80%) but some bulk billing for children
  • Minimum guarantee for the first few months.
  • Flexible working hours – school hours available. Weekend rota (Saturday mornings only) of 1 in 3 or 1 in 4
  • 2 vacancies available and they would welcome applications from couples as well as single GPs
  • Ongoing training for interested GPs looking to expand areas of interest.
  • Great location
  • Options to specialise in areas such as dermatology or cosmetics.
  • Allied health available.
  • Experienced owner and operators within the general practice.

They are in a DPA area so registration and visas should be straightforward.

Working with Monique and Martina in Australia, (UK GP applying from New Zealand) made the laborious and pedantic process of applying for GP Fellowship and Australian registration much easier than trying to do this alone. It was still a long process but the team helped every step of the way, and were happy to liaise with the AMC, RACGP or AHPRA when needed. They worked hard to secure a good GP position for me, and overall I highly recommend and thank them for all their help in the process of relocating to Australia as a GP.
