Darwin is undergoing major growth. It’s location is close to Asia and it has good connections with Indonesia. Named after Charles Darwin, the city is relatively small with a population of 130,000. However, it is multi-cultural with a significant proportion of immigrants from across Asia as well Europe. It is the main city for the whole of the northern part of Australia. In fact, the next biggest Australian city is Cairns, 1000 miles to the east, While Singapore is 2000 miles away and closer than Sydney.

Mining and tourism are he two main industries and as China takes an increasing amount of raw materials, the Port of Darwin is continuing to grow.

I recently moved to Perth in Western Australia to start work as a General Practitioner. It was a daunting prospect initially, when searching for suitable posts, especially without having been to Australia before. The formal registration process appeared challenging and time-consuming to start with. However, during the process, I found Monique and Paul to be very supportive, providing reliable and accurate information when needed. I would highly recommend using their valuable insight to those contemplating the move in the near future.
