Positive Changes to the RACGP Registration System for UK & Irish Trained GPs

The RACGP has tweaked their registration system for UK & Irish GPs. It is now possible to work in a “MMM1” area – previously it had to be a “MMM2” or above area. The significance of this is that MMM1 areas are suburban. MMM2 are rural. The RACGP and the Dept of Health still have various other hoops for GPs to jump through: GPs must work in a DPA (Distribution Priority Area).
